External testing guide
For testers trying DamDam while it is still being developed.
Prepared as of
1. Who is the test for?
Round 0 is shared directly with about 10 acquaintances. Round 1 is planned to recruit about 100 people through local promotion. Capacity can be adjusted based on actual usage and operations.
Participation is free. Paid subscriptions or payments are not being accepted. Any later paid service will have separate conditions.
2. Installation and use
Invited Android testers receive an APK link; iPhone testers receive a TestFlight invitation link. Check the intended audience, build and current availability of the link. The homepage does not provide a public installation link. You can submit an email and device for an invitation, and the operator sends invitations by hand.
The app UI is currently in Korean. English website guidance does not mean a complete English app UI is available. AI chat, speech recognition, search and other external services require an internet connection.
3. Development and usage
Features, screens and data structures can change during development. Errors and temporary interruptions can occur, and identical behavior on every device is not guaranteed.
Free usage allowances and limits will be decided from actual usage. Provider limits and outages can affect AI and speech features. Unlimited use or a fixed response speed is not promised.
4. Records and migration to release
We aim to preserve existing records and carry them into the released service. Structural changes during testing can prevent some records from being migrated. Automatic migration of every record to the release is not guaranteed.
Uninstalling, changing devices, device failure or test-build issues can cause loss. Internal backup measures do not guarantee backup and recovery of all records, including photos, recordings, memory and information needed to unlock records.
Keep separate copies of important material. We do not promise export or recovery facilities that are not actually available. Changes known to affect record preservation will be explained where possible.
5. AI results and health records
AI replies, classifications and generated records can be wrong. Check changes actually made to calendar, to-dos and documents, and correct them where needed. Consult originals and sources for important decisions.
Health, exercise and mood records do not replace professional diagnosis, treatment or emergency response. Check the privacy information when choosing external inputs and sharing recipients.
6. Other people’s information and sharing
Use records and files you have permission to use and share. Take care not to disclose other people’s private conversations, photos or health information without permission.
Anyone with a complete record-sharing link can open its contents. APK/TestFlight distribution links and private record links serve different purposes; check your recipients.
7. Changes, interruption and ending the test
Important changes and the end of testing will be announced in advance where possible. Urgent or unforeseen situations may require action first, followed by an explanation of the changes and effects as soon as reasonably possible.
A fixed advance-notice period is not guaranteed. This guide does not exclude users’ legal rights or the operator’s legal obligations.
8. Invitations, launch news and contact
Contact details are used to deliver installation links and test notices. Preferences for launch news will be checked separately, with a way to decline or withdraw.
Send installation, usage, bug-report and testing questions to support@damdam.day, and privacy questions and rights requests to privacy@damdam.day. The public operator name has not been decided yet and will be announced when confirmed.
